Grameenphone (গ্রামীন ফোন) basically known as GP ,But people called it Haramir phone (হারামির ফোন) ।They are one of the leading telecommunications service provider in Bangladesh . According to the latest news ( Dec 2012 ) they have more than 40 million subscribers. Grameen phone is a joint venture enterprise between Grameen Telecom Corporation and Telenor. We know Telenor is the largest telecommunications company in Norway,and Grameen Telecom Corporation is a non-profit sister concern of the internationally acclaimed microfinance organization and community development bank Grameen Bank.
Grameenphone was the first company to introduce GSM technology in Bangladesh since 1997.
